EduPlay
We
provide a safe and secure environment for learning and invite young
children (aged 6 months to 4 years) and their parents to play!
In our EduPlay programmes, we play, we laugh, we talk, but we also
learn about getting along with one another, about doing things for
ourselves and others, about joining in and following the leader (the
teacher). We encourage this playful approach to life and learning not
only in our children, but also in their parents and in ourselves.
EduPlay
is where we introduce the importance of family support at the start of
a child's journey of learning and discovery. A sense of security is
primary to a child's enjoyment of discovery and learning. That is why
our EduPlay programmes all require a parent to accompany the child to
class. An occasional replacement of the parent by another caregiver is
acceptable. By two years and five months old, a child's growing
independence usually enables him/her to attend PlayNursery alone.
Following PlayNursery, the child is ready for Chiltern House's
preschool programme from Nursery to Kindergarten 2.
PlayNest. 6 - 18 months
Nurturing attachment and security
Babies and toddlers play and learn in rich, stimulating and nurturing
environments created through specially designed studios and with
developmentally appropriate toys and equipment; with a focus on
hands-on meaningful interaction in a language-rich environment.
Learning is facilitated through an array of activities including,
music, art & craft, stories, puppets and even a healthy organic
snack!
PlayClub. 18 months - 3 years
Fostering self-control and autonomy
PlayClub is a stimulating learning environment that is highly
enjoyable, with a curriculum structured around letters of the alphabet
and key Mandarin words, numbers, shapes and colours – all organised in
interesting child-centred themes and translated through activities such
as indoor and outdoor play, music, art and craft, hands-on pre-science
activities, stories, speech, drama and snack.
Bilingual PlayClub (English and Mandarin). 18 months - 3 years
Incorporating the best from both English and Mandarin PlayClub
The same elements and learning focus of our twice-weekly programmes are
condensed into a weekly two-hour session. The lesson format is
specifically designed to create total language-immersion such that
children and parents/caregivers spend one hour each in English and
Mandarin at every session.
EduPlay Teachers
Our EduPlay teachers are uniquely energetic, sensitive and warm
individuals. They love what they do and are trained and chosen to
relate, teach and share with every child and parent/caregiver in class.
Our teachers value each child's strengths and needs. We encourage
parental involvement because we recognise that a parent is the child's
first and most influential teacher.
